NASHVILLE, TN (May 16, 2025) — Out today, Borderlands is the brand-new 11-track album from acclaimed sibling duo The Talbott Brothers — a sweeping return to the raw, honest sound that first put Nick and Ty on the map. Woven with themes of a thematic homecoming, personal reckoning, and quiet resilience, the album marks a deeply personal rebirth for the pair.

With their signature blend of country grit and Americana soul, The Talbott Brothers strip things down to their essence on Borderlands, channeling blue-collar storytelling and hard-earned authenticity. It's a record that circles back to the beginning — both musically and personally — with songs that reflect their growth, struggles, and the simple truths that still guide them.

Alongside the album release, Nick and Ty spotlight the heart-pounding, soul-stirring centerpiece of Borderlands: “Wild” — a full-throttle ode to love that’s as tender as it is electric. Fueled by swooning pedal steel, smoldering grit, and the kind of open-hearted lyricism only brothers can deliver, it’s the song they say captures the spirit of the entire record.

“‘Wild’ is about the kind of love that takes over without warning, wild and untamed, pulling you in like nothing else matters,” Nick and Ty share. “With a rhythm suitable for a waltz and its laid-back yet powerful mood, the lyrics reflect a mix of freedom, intensity and coming home to the one you love. There’s a fire to it — just like those nights that stay with you forever. It’s a soundtrack to a love that’s about slowing down and being in the moment.”

With Borderlands, the record navigates the emotional frontiers suggested by its name — where heartbreak leads to healing, grief discovers joy, sadness gives way to happiness, anger finds forgiveness, and indifference becomes love. It’s a sonic exploration of finding the courage to leave home, while always carrying a piece of it with you.

After years in Portland, the brothers returned to their roots, finding inspiration in the simplicity of their hometown. This led to the creation of Borderlands, an album shaped by their country, Americana, and rock ‘n’ roll origins. Influenced by songwriters like Ray LaMontagne and Chris Stapleton, Borderlands explores the emotional highs and lows of life, reflecting themes of resilience and transformation. “During the creative and writing process we spent our days riding motorcycles, going to the lake, shooting guns, driving around listening to old rock ‘n’ roll and country music and sitting by the fire,” Ty explains, delving into their experience of going back home to create the new project

Stripping down to acoustic sounds and raw production, the album embraces imperfections, capturing the authenticity the brothers desired. As Ty explains, “We wanted to keep it as bare bones as possible.” Through grit, grief, and good times, Borderlands marks a new chapter for the brothers, showcasing their personal and artistic growth and echoes the resilience and soul of Nebraska’s working class

The duo rolled out four singles in the lead-up to the album, kicking things off with the rollicking “Kerosene,” followed by the introspective “Without Me,” the soulful slow-burn “Easy Love,” and the defiant anthem “Mud,” which premiered exclusively via Holler and earned a spot on Apple Music’s “New in Country” playlist.

Raised in the small town of Imperial, Nebraska (population: 1,993), The Talbott Brothers have carved out a national following with their soulful songwriting, blood-tight harmonies, and cinematic melodies. Their 2017 track “We Got Love” has racked up over three million streams, while critics have taken notice — Rolling Stone dubbed their sound “cinematic folk-rock for open highways,” Billboard praised their “haunting brotherly harmonies,” and The Boot likened them to John Mayer, Mumford & Sons, and Jason Isbell. Together, it’s a recipe that’s earned them widespread recognition and staying power.

Having toured globally and played festivals like AMERICANAFEST and The Rock Boat, The Talbott Brothers continue to connect with audiences, sharing their unbreakable bond and dynamic sound.
