“These are things you dream about as an artist,” share The Dryes. “We would sing ‘Bye-Bye’ at our shows for years and now to be asked to go on tour with Jo Dee Messina is completely full circle! We couldn’t be more thankful for her support and can’t wait to hit the road with her!”

Known for their irresistible melodies and passionate storytelling, The Drye’s possess a warmness and sincerity that is palpable. Approaching their songwriting with a wide-armed embrace to all parts of the human experience, from life's most joyful moments to its most trying, they are effectively playing a role in the de-stigmatization of mental health and encouraging a brave acceptance and love of the human condition. From releasing music speaking candidly on their own real-life marital highs-and-lows to sharing their most private and agonizing experiences of loss and grief to delivering cheerful ballads full of color, The Dryes continue to stand alone in the industry as an act that has built a career from nothing but sheer authenticity, cementing themselves as a force for good.

Making music together for over a decade, Derek and Katelyn Drye knew early in their relationship that their purpose was to write, create and perform together. Launching their career in 2018, the couple’s debut single “Amen” found immediate praise from Rolling Stone Country where Jon Freeman raved: “The Dryes sing their origin story in the slinky ‘Amen,’ mingling potent sexuality with the salvation of love.”

Continuing to set the tone for their career, The Dryes shared “War,” a song of striking and unique vulnerability based upon Derek Dryes’ personal dealings with his mother’s suicide when he was a child; setting them apart from their peers as they display an unmatched authenticity and openness. The track was paired with an incredibly touching music video spotlighted by CMT and now logs over seven million streams.

Since the catapulting of their career, the duo has continued to deliver ballads that promote open-mindedness, challenging conversation, acceptance and love. Most notably receiving stand alone pieces in Billboard for their  happy go lucky single Take You Dancin’” and American Songwriter for the release of “YES.”

Taking a pause from releasing music in late 2022, The Dryes found their next endeavor to be with Blake Shelton on Team Blake for NBC’s “THE VOICE” where they performed through the “Knockouts” and seized the opportunity to connect with listeners across the country and extend their fanbase.
