NASHVILLE, TN (October 16, 2020) - Pop singer-songwriter Jonathan Baines has released his sophomore single, the emotionally-driven “In Between.” Co-written with acclaimed Curb recording artist Sarah Reeves and Ben Schofield, “In Between” rides a powerful yet silky production that pairs perfectly with Baines’ smooth vocals. The beautifully mastered song evokes a longing and uncertainty that many can relate to this year; feeling a bit stuck in between pre-pandemic life, socially-distanced life and the other side of this global pandemic.

“In my life I have found myself wrestling with the next right thing or the next right move,” says Baines. “We all experience this. I think 2020 has taught us--myself included--that you can never really be prepared for what’s coming.”

Baines recently released his debut single “Just As You Are” which Pop Culturalist described as “a soundscape that’s striking a chord with listeners” and had Reignland raved, “every note is beautiful and perfectly timed. It will send chills down your spine…” Listen to “Just As You Are” here

About Jonathan Baines:
Born in North Carolina and raised in Delaware, Baines has southern blood with a mix of the northeastern shore. Music was all around his upbringing as he was introduced to—and still highly influenced by—all the pop, soul, vocal, and gospel legends across the decades at a young age. Some of his biggest musical influences to date include Dean Martin, Coldplay, Adele, Ray Charles, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Marvin Gaye and early Whitney Houston. Prior to calling Nashville his musical home, Baines traveled in a band from 2008-2011 to earn his way through college. He’s been around the block a time or two and knows that his best days are coming up.
